Immersive Aerial Dance Performance to Premiere in the Lumen Street Theatre Building, Limerick – June 13th, 2025 at 7:30pm

An immersive new work by Irish multi-disciplinary artist Kathleen Doherty, The Space Between is set to premiere at the Lumen Street Theatre Building in Limerick on Friday, June 13th, 2025, at 7:30pm. Blending aerial dance, performance art, composition and new media, this immersive performance invites audiences into a world shaped by trauma, healing, and the quiet search for connection.

Presented in partnership with the Limerick Mental Health Association, the Belltable/Limetree, and Fidget Feet Aerial Dance Company. Funded by The Arts Council of Ireland and Limerick City & County Council, The Space Between dissolves the boundaries between body, memory, and space

Set against the haunting backdrop of an abandoned warehouse, the performance unfolds through blinking scenes, blood-red silks, and shifting figures who navigate cycles of dissociation and return. At its core, this work speaks to the liminal—the no longer and not yet—while honouring the fragile resilience of being human.
